A commercial vehicle and equipment voucher program to help keep Washington’s air clean
Save on your fleet’s transformation
Washington State is launching a new program to help businesses of all sizes switch to zero-emission vehicles and equipment. The Washington Zero-Emission Incentive Program (WAZIP) is funded by Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA) and managed by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). The program makes it easier and more affordable for companies to upgrade their fleets to zero-emission technologies. Full catalogs of eligible vehicles and equipment will be available prior to WAZIP opening day.
WAZIP provides point-of-sale vouchers to lower the upfront cost of buying new, cleaner technology. The amount of vouchers varies, based on the type of equipment purchased. A total of $112 million in voucher dollars is available for the biennium ending June 30, 2027.

How it works
WAZIP offers simple, point-of-sale discounts for eligible zero-emission vehicles and equipment. These vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and apply right when you buy — no waiting for rebates.
Approved dealers who have completed WAZIP program training are authorized to sell eligible vehicles.
Program rules, vehicle eligibility and comprehensive participation requirements for purchasers, OEMs and dealers are now available in the WAZIP Implementation Manual (IM) (PDF 1.7 MB).
